Which first?
Cannot document PMP months: CAPM. Then collect hours and sit PMP.
Already leading projects: skip CAPM. Study PMP. The CAPM exam will feel like a subset and wastes a cycle.
Scrum master / agile coach who does not want PMP: PMI-ACP (and/or PSM I if the market around you is Scrum.org-heavy).
SAFe shop: PMI-ACP does not replace SAFe Agilist. Take the one your employer reimburses.
PMP mindset in one paragraph
PMP items punish the hero PM who “just decides.” Prefer the answer that engages the team, the sponsor, and the data, unless safety or legal compliance is on fire. Half the exam is agile/hybrid. See the PMP study guide.
