The Enhanced ACT (effective spring 2025) has three core sections: English (50 questions, 30 min), Math (50 questions, 50 min), and Reading (30 questions, 30 min). Science (35 questions, 30 min) and Writing (1 essay, 40 min) are now optional. The composite score ranges from 1 to 36, calculated as the average of your three core section scores. Optional section scores are reported separately.
